Research interests focus on the role of polypeptide growth factors in cell proliferation, embryonic development and disease. Projects include studies on the structure-function relationship of EGF-like growth factors, gene profiling during self-renewal and proliferation of stem cells, in addition to studies on the role of SNPs in growth factor receptor promoter regions in the genetic predisposition for neural diseases.
