Research interests include the pathophysiology of osteoarthritis and systemic sclerosis with a special interest in the role of growth factors (e.g. TGF beta, BMPs, Wnts) in pathological processes. Research is focused on the elucidation of how altered interpretation and integration of extracellular stimuli results in disease, and to apply this knowledge to develop new effective therapies and to stimulate tissue repair.
